Shelton-based William Raveis acquires South Carolina brokerage

Shelton-based real estate company William Raveis has acquired Carson Realty, a family-owned luxury brokerage based in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

The company said the acquisition of Carson Realty gives it a significant market share increase in South Carolina.

“We look forward to our partnership with Carson Realty," said CEO William "Bill" Raveis, who founded the company 50 years ago. “It's always exciting to join forces with another family-owned firm that shares our deep commitment to our agents and our communities.”

William Raveis, which serves the Northeast, Florida and South Carolina, also acquired a realty firm located near Boston in December.
