After $1.2M property buy, growing digital marketer Rebel Interactive moving HQ to Cheshire

Fast-growing digital marketing firm Rebel Interactive Group has purchased a former Furniture Barn location in Cheshire that it intends to transform into its new headquarters.

According to property records, Jennifer and Bryn Tindall, the CEO and owner of Rebel Interactive earlier this month acquired the 24,700-square-foot retail, office, showroom and warehouse space at 535 West Main St. in Cheshire for $1.2 million.

The company is already leasing two properties in Southington, but those offices can no longer accommodate Rebel Interactive’s 95 employees, plus the additional workers the firm wants to bring on, said co-owner and President Allison Minutillo.

“We can’t hire people fast enough,” Minutillo said Thursday. “And [the new building] is part of our return to the office.”

Minutillo said Rebel Interactive plans to set up offices in the front of the building, a layout that would include conference rooms, communal areas and a podcasting studio.

The back of the property, which is currently a warehouse, will likely be turned into video production space, which would be rented out to other companies looking to film there.

Minutillo said the warehouse’s sparse, industrial look could lend itself to video producers who would otherwise have to go to New York to find a comparable site.

Rebel Interactive, formed in 2013 by Bryn Tindall, has benefitted from the new emphasis on digital outreach brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Minutillo. It offers a variety of services, including advertising, marketing automation, branding and messaging, search-engine optimization, data analytics, web and app development and business visualization and digitization.
