Air Canada returns to Bradley International Airport, adding Toronto route

Air Canada

Air Canada, Canada’s largest airline, restored its nonstop service between Bradley International Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport on Wednesday, the Connecticut Airport Authority announced.

Kevin A. Dillon, executive director of the Connecticut Airport Authority, which owns the airport, said the partnership with Air Canada “facilitates seamless connectivity between our regions, but (also) offers a convenient gateway to the rest of the world” via the Toronto-Pearson hub.

The airline returns to Bradley after a two-year absence due to the travel disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The last Air Canada flights lifted off from the airport in the spring of 2020.

Traveling to Connecticut appeals to Canadians and global customers “who enjoy the leisure activities, recreation, arts and culture, tourism and hospitality the state is renowned for,” said Lisa Pierce, vice president, Canada & USA Sales for Air Canada.

The new service will use a 50-seat CRJ200 aircraft. It will operate daily and year-round with the following schedule:

The start of the service was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the gate Wednesday.
