Technology giant Apple Inc. has announced its reopening schedule for Connecticut stores.

Gabi Condarco-Quesada, a spokesperson for the California-headquartered company, said Thursday morning that all Connecticut stores are currently open, with the exception of stores in Westfarms mall and at Evergreen Walk in northern Connecticut. Those two are scheduled to reopen on Saturday.

The company is reopening more stores around the country following closures related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"This week we’ll return to serving customers in many more U.S. locations including by appointment in New York City, where we’re proud to stand beside New Yorkers as they emerge from this incredibly difficult time,” the company said in an announcement.

The company indicated it is committed to reopening stores with the health and safety of its employees and customers in mind.

At each store, measures will be taken to protect everyone, including temperature checks, mandatory face coverings, and social distancing. Face masks will be provided to customers who don’t bring their own. The company indicated it will be doing “enhanced deep cleanings” with an emphasis on surfaces, display products and high-traffic areas, throughout each day.

“We look forward to seeing our customers again,” the announcement said.

Hours and services vary by location, and the company urged customers to visit their local store’s web page for information before visiting.

In Connecticut, in-store services and sales are available in New Haven on Broadway, at the Danbury Fair Mall, and in its Trumbull store, with Westfarms in Farmington and Evergreen Walk in South Windsor coming on line this weekend.

Apple stores at the SoNo Collection in Norwalk and in Greenwich are available by appointment only.

Earlier this month, the company had boarded up its New Haven storefront to protect it in the wake of protests which erupted following the death of George Floyd in the custody of Minneapolis police.
