Attorney joins Barclay Damon’s New Haven office

The Barclay Damon law firm recently announced that Sarah Capungan has joined its commercial litigation and labor and employment practice areas.

Capungan, an associate, is primarily based out of the firm’s New Haven office.

In her practice, she assists clients in all aspects of commercial litigation, and advises them on labor and employment issues such as hiring, discipline, termination and leaves of absence.

She has gained experience through multiple legal internships and has helped with a range of civil litigation matters, including arbitration, commercial litigation and complex litigation. She has also served as a clerk for Connecticut Superior Court judges.

Several new faculty members join Albertus Magnus

Albertus Magnus College recently welcomed five new full-time faculty members for the fall semester, which started Aug. 30.

Sean P. O’Connell, vice president for academic affairs and dean of faculty, said Albertus is “fortunate to have such talented and diverse colleagues join the Albertus family.”

Jonathan Adongo, associate professor of economics joins Albertus as part of the Tagliatela School of Business and Leadership. 

Tina Benigno is teaching in Albertus’ Department of English and Humanities in a dual role of assistant professor and advisor.

Neda Moinolmolki is a new professor in the college’s Department of Psychology. 

Leslie Peña-Sullivan, assistant professor in sociology, is teaching in the undergraduate program while creating and implementing the master’s of social work degree program at Albertus.

Tarishi Verma is now teaching communication courses and assisting with advising students as part of the Department of Arts and Communication.
