In this role, Ancel will lead the development, direction and implementation of regulatory strategy and policy across the Orange-based energy company’s eight regulated gas and electric utilities throughout New York and New England.
Ancel is replacing Steve Adams, who retired in late August following a 25-year career.
Avangrid Networks President and CEO Anthony Marone said he is excited to have Ancel joining the team.
“Her wealth of knowledge and years of experience in energy regulation, along with her focus on advancing clean energy strategies, will be vital to the success of our organization,” Marone said in an announcement.
