The Bridgeport-based law firm of Willinger, Willinger & Bucci, which expanded its presence in the state with a new office in Shelton, will be celebrating its growth with a grand opening this month.
The firm is keeping its longtime office at 1000 Lafayette Boulevard, Suite 1100, Bridgeport, and added an 8,800-square-foot office at 1000 Bridgeport Ave., Suite 501, in Shelton.
Senior partner Charles J. Willinger Jr. called the expansion “a natural evolution for our firm.”
“The Route 8 corridor represents an enlarged service base while maintaining our long-established client foundation in Fairfield County,” Willinger said.
The firm, which marked its 30th anniversary in 2020, said the expansion is reflective of the “robust economy” along the Route 8 corridor, where it has a growing client base.
The firm’s lawyers handle a range of legal matters, such as commercial real estate transactions, land use development, business law, employment and labor law, criminal defense, estates, personal injury and family relations.
Senior partner Thomas W. Bucci, who served as Bridgeport’s mayor from 1985 through 1989, stressed that the firm remains committed to maintaining its presence in Bridgeport.
“This is by no means the end of our time in the great city of Bridgeport, where we have practiced law for 47 years,” Bucci said. “Bridgeport will always be our home.”
Willinger and Bucci, childhood friends who started their legal careers in the 1970s, partnered in 1990.
An official grand-opening celebration is planned for Sept. 30.
