A property investor and hospitality entrepreneur has purchased a Wethersfield retail property for $1.2 million.
An LLC headed by Joseph A. Sullo and Sullo Investments acquired 1862 Berlin Tpke., a 14,635-square-foot building sitting on 1.5 acres, in June, according to land records.
Built in 1967, the building’s anchor tenant is Atlas Tile, Carpet & Wood Flooring Center.
Fast casual rotisserie restaurant El Pollo Guapo is also a tenant.
Jay Morris and Mark Berkowitz of O,R&L Commercial were the listing agents for the seller, an LLC managed by the estate of Shirley S. Brody.
Sullo, owner of Wethersfield-based Classic Restaurant Supply and RestaurantSupply.com, has also been a regular dealmaker in the industrial property sector.
Last summer, he paid $900,000 for an Enfield property that’s home to Laird Plastics. In Feb. 2020, he sold a 10,000-square-foot West Hartford building to West Hartford Locks.
Sullo also owns 36 Holly Dr. in Newington, where Universal Supply debuted its first Connecticut location early last year.
