Amity Physical Therapy recently added a fourth location, at 135 Cherry St., in Milford.

Michael Dow, CEO and clinical director, founded the practice 17 years ago. It also has locations in Woodbridge, Hamden and Branford.

Dow said Milford was an “ideal” location for the practice’s expansion.

“The city has a population of active adults, hosts road races and has in depth scholastic athletic programs – the precise collective that needs physical injury monitoring, prevention and treatment,” Dow said.

According to Dow, the company’s staff includes many former athletes and current fitness enthusiasts. The clinical supervisor in the Milford office, Peter Geloso, is a competitive cyclist, and “knows injury diagnostics and thorough treatment procedures for injuries,” Dow said.
