Co-working space Jeff Works opens doors in Trumbull’s Hawley Lane Mall

Working or attending virtual classes from home can have its perks, but it can also come with its share of distractions, too. 

That’s why a new service — Jeff Works — launched earlier this year to meet the needs of remote workers, freelancers, small business owners and students. 

Jeff Works’ Co-founder Justin Oshins said the new space located at 100 Hawley Lane, Trumbull, the first Jeff Works in Connecticut, provides a comfortable and quiet work space.  

“We’ve learned that a staggering 85% of workers in the U.S. would prefer to work from home, but that isn’t always entirely possible for some people,” said Jeff Works’ Global Head of Product Marketing Dania Cotlear Stuart. “Whether it be kids, pets or people preventing you from having a quiet place to work; poor internet preventing you from working at all, or even the lack of social interaction giving you cabin fever; Jeff Works is the ideal solution and here to provide a place that eliminates all of those issues.”

Jeff Works’ large co-working space includes ergonomic desks and chairs, break lounges, unlimited coffee and access to high-speed internet. Prices start at $15 a month for its “Hot Desk Plan.” 

The newly launched “Dedicated Desk Plan” starts at $99 a month. The plan features an exclusive, private desk with dual monitors, mouse and keyboard; unlimited access to private phone booths for quiet phone calls; free printer use; a virtual office that can be used as a business address and two guest passes per month.

As of September 2021, 41% of all white-collar workers in the U.S. were working exclusively from home. By the end of 2022, roughly 25% of all American workers are expected to do the same. And while coffee shops have long been known to serve as a second home for remote workers, students and others, co-working spaces are quickly becoming the norm. 

“We don’t just want to enter the world of co-working spaces; we want to disrupt it,” said Oshins. “We are doing that by listening to the feedback, praises and concerns of the public, building on those, and offering the best work environment possible.” 

Similar services, according to Oshins, can cost $200 a month or more.

Booking a service with Jeff Works - from simple desk space to private meeting rooms - in the Trumbull location is simple via your smartphone, using an app available in both the Apple Store or Google Play.   

Jeff Works also launched space in New Jersey’s South Plainfield’s Hadley Center earlier this year.
