The traditional New Haven Restaurant Week, when diners can get good deals on the city’s culinary delights, will last for two weeks this year.
The event launched on Sept. 13 and runs through Saturday, Sept. 26.
With the coronavirus pandemic negatively impacting restaurants everywhere, it is a chance for them to attract more diners. And guests get to sample what the eateries have to offer at special prix fixe rates.
The specials include a $19 two-course lunch, $36 three-course dinner, or $60 to-go package which feeds a family of four.
Basta Trattoria, Pacifico, Temple Grill, Christopher Martins, Olives and Oil, and Zinc are just a few of the establishments participating in the special offer. They have a variety of special menus planned for the occasion. At Christopher Martins, for example, lobster bisque, pumpkin seed shrimp and Smores for Two are among the selections.
For in-house dining, advance reservations are required. The event is also raising money to benefit the Connecticut Food Bank.
