State aims to sell or lease Sargent Drive property
The state recently issued a request for proposals from prospective purchasers or tenants interested in the former Gateway Community College Long Wharf Campus at 60 Sargent Dr., New Haven.
The property includes 7.23-acres, with easy highway access. It is next door to Jordan’s Furniture. Proposals were due in November.
Gateway moved to a much larger, new downtown campus about eight years ago, but the state still owns the 60 Sargent Dr. property.
Leigh Appleby, director of communications for the Connecticut Board of Regents for Higher Education, said this week the state is still evaluating proposals.
