As the state prepares to drop COVID-19-related restrictions on May 19, some restaurants across the state are offering free drinks to customers who prove they've been vaccinated.
Connecticut's Office of Tourism is promoting a campaign dubbed "Drinks Are On Us," which offers one free drink per person who shows a vaccination card at participating restaurants between May 19 and 31.
"Have you been vaccinated? Then you're eligible for a free drink!," the tourism office proclaims on a website dedicated to the promotion, which notes that customers must buy food to get the free drink.
