The Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) has named five New Haven-area residents to its Advisory Council for its 2019-20 activity year: Paul T. Czepiga, CPA, JD of Madison; Richard A. Madonna Jr., CPA, CFE of Guilford; Joseph W. Mooney, CPA, CGMA of Branford; Jennifer J. Schempp, CPA, CGMA of Orange; and Michael Weymouth of New Haven. The Advisory Council contemplates the future of the Connecticut Society of CPAs and the accounting profession, and in doing so serves as a sounding board and source of information for the CTCPA board of directors.

Mallory Sudol
Affinity Federal Credit Union has hired Mallory Sudol as a mortgage loan officer in its New Haven/Yale University and Norwalk branches. Sudol most recently was a mortgage loan originator for KeyBank Mortgage.

Emily Byrne
New Haven-based child advocacy group Connecticut Voices for Children has hired Emily Byrne as executive director. Byrne was formerly executive director of New Haven Promise, director of strategy and innovation for the New Haven Housing Authority and director of strategic initiatives for the state’s Department of Education. She is a graduate of Providence College and New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service.
