A limited liability company led by the owner of Enfield-based Powder Hollow Brewery recently purchased a 19,760-square-foot light industrial building in South Windsor.
PHB Headquarters LLC paid $800,000 for a 50-year-old building on 1.1 acres at 46 Schweir Road in South Windsor in a sale recorded by the town on April 4, land records show.
The principal of PBH Headquarters LLC – Powder Hollow Brewery owner Michael Mcmanus – said Wednesday he is not yet ready to talk about his plans for the building.
Powder Hollow Brewery, which launched in 2014, has locations in Enfield, Middletown and at the Yankee Candle Village in South Deerfield, Massachusetts, according to the brewery website.
The South Windsor property was sold by the estate of Michael Economos, founder of aerospace manufacturer Beacon Industries.
Historically, the building at 46 Schweir Road served Beacon, according to Sean P. Duffy, executive director with Cushman & Wakefield, which listed the property. Beacon had held the building after expanding to larger quarters in Bloomfield, leased it for a bit and ultimately decided to sell, Duffy said.
Duffy said the property saw multiple offers in the year it was on the market.
