Enfield industrial building plan approved

A Longmeadow, Mass., developer has gained approval to build a new multi-tenant industrial building on Moody Road in Enfield.

Plans by 29 Moody Road LLC and principals Adam Oliveri, N. Andrew Robb and Marc Murphy Jr., call for construction of a 19,800-square-foot contractor workshop facility on 4.7 acres  of vacant and undeveloped land at 29 Moody Road.

The facility will contain 11 individual units measuring 1,800 square feet. The rental or lease spaces would be suitable for light manufacturing and assembly work, including repairs, warehousing and storage, packaging and distribution of goods, and service and special trade contractors such as building or landscaping, the applicants said. 

Developers could not be reached for comment.

The approval was granted with minimal conditions. No Toxic, hazardous or combustible materials are allowed on-site, nor will there be any outdoor storage, automotive repairs, or retail sales allowed. The facility will not offer retail components nor be open to the public, the application said. 

This project was scaled down from earlier plans for a 34,200-square-foot building with 19 bays, due to wetlands proximity, the application reads.
