The Hoffman Auto Group recently opened a new BMW dealership in Waterbury.
The dealership, which had been in Watertown, is now at 133 Schraffts Drive, Waterbury.
According to the company, its Waterbury home includes a 28,000-square foot newly constructed facility. The move allows it to have a larger inventory of vehicles on site.
Jeffrey S. Hoffman, co-chairman of the Hoffman Auto Group, thanked Waterbury city officials, indicating they have been “extremely supportive” during the construction process.
“We look forward to bringing growth and more BMWs to the area,” Hoffman said.
The business chose the Waterbury location due to its proximity to I-84, with the potential to attract customers from additional markets - such as the Hartford region.
“A new BMW location closer to Hartford allows us to continue to offer an elite experience for many more customers, and we are both thrilled and proud to step forward into a new endeavor,” said I. Bradley Hoffman, co-chairman of the Hoffman Auto Group, in an announcement.
The family-owned business, founded in 1921, is celebrating its 100th year and spans four generations.
It has dealerships in four locations, including East Hartford, Avon/Simsbury, New London and Waterbury. The business sells nine car brands, including Lexus, Audi, BMW, Porsche, Lincoln, Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Ford.
