Trinity Health of New England and Farmington startup Nest Collaborative announced Tuesday a new partnership that will give new mothers in Connecticut and neighboring Massachusetts telehealth breastfeeding support at no charge.

The program is available to women who give birth at Trinity Heath’s three birthing hospitals – St. Francis in Hartford, St. Mary’s in Waterbury and Mercy Medical Center in Springfield.

“We know every new mother is going to run into breastfeeding hurdles and frustrations and we want to provide families with support, so they’re able to overcome those challenges and reach their feeding goals,” said Dr. Walter Trymbulak, chair of the Women and Infants Service Line at Trinity Health. “Nest plays a critical dual role in that process by augmenting the lactation services we provide for our moms in the hospital and also fortifying and helping moms who are being seen by out private OBGYN providers in the community.”

Farmington-based Nest’s nationwide network of lactation consultants are available to families for virtual consultations seven days a week in all 50 states. Consultations are available in numerous languages including English, Spanish, Arabic, Hebrew, Portuguese, Urdu, Haitan Creole and Burmese.

The company has been growing in recent years and raising capital
