F+F Mechanical Service has acquired J.P. Salmini Co. Inc. of Milford, a heating, ventilation and air conditioning contractor.
Based in North Haven, F+F Mechanical provides HVAC services, along with mechanical piping, sheet metal and plumbing services for customers in the commercial, industrial and institutional markets.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Frank Ferrucci, vice president of F+F Mechanical, said the deal joins two “highly compatible” firms which have similar values and philosophies.
F+F Mechanical is based on Dwight Street in North Haven, with a branch office on Anthony Street in Stamford. J.P. Salmini, established in 1939, is located on Gulf Street in Milford.
According to an announcement, F+F Mechanical plans to consolidate its current branch office in Fairfield County with the J.P. Salmini operations to Trumbull.
Earlier this year, F+F Mechanical leased space at 140 Corporate Drive in Trumbull for 10 years. The Trumbull property features an 18,680-square-foot building.
“Our goal is to use this facility for sheet metal fabrication, and to warehouse HVAC equipment and parts, as a mitigating measure against the supply chain disruptions,” Ferrucci said. “This will allow us to be even more responsive to the needs of our customer base.”
The family-owned and operated F+F Mechanical, founded in 1982, is involved in the fabrication, installation and maintenance of commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing systems throughout Connecticut.
