Halloran Sage announces new partner in New Haven

Connecticut-based law firm Halloran Sage announced attorney Ethan Ung has been admitted as a partner. 

Ung, a patent attorney, works in the firm’s New Haven office, and he is a member of its litigation and intellectual property practice groups.

Ung represents insurers and corporate clients, helping them manage risks, mitigate damages, and resolve a range of disputes involving claims in general liability, medical malpractice and products liability. He also counsels startups and established businesses in protecting and enforcing a range of intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks and copyrights.

Physician joins Westbrook health practice

Fernwood Holistic Health at 1921 Boston Post Road in Westbrook has welcomed Dr. Katelyn Lieb, a naturopathic physician, to its team.

Lieb focuses her practice on women's health, hormones and thyroid conditions. She treats an array of conditions, such as polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, menopause and perimenopause, as well as Hashimoto's, adrenal and chronic fatigue, gastrointestinal issues, nutritional deficiencies and diabetes.

According to an announcement, Lieb’s treatment approach prioritizes food as medicine, nutrition counseling, lifestyle modifications, the mind-body connection and functional medical testing. She works to help patients understand their health conditions and discover the root cause.

Albertus Magnus College welcomes two new hires

Albertus Magnus College has added two new people to its New Haven-based staff.

Anissa Conner is the new director of alumni and parent engagement, and David LaValley, a certified public accountant, is the Catholic college’s new controller.

Conner is tasked with cultivating, strengthening and maintaining the relationship between the college and its alumni and parent communities. She joined Albertus after more than 14 years of experience with alumni and development roles at Harvard Medical School, the Harvard Graduate School of Education and most recently, Harvard Divinity School where she served as the associate director of alumni relations.

David LaValley

LaValley is responsible for ensuring the effective and prudent financial operations of the college, and he will report to the vice president for finance and administration.
