Hartford HealthCare expands footprint with new Milford location

Hartford HealthCare opened a new urgent care center Thursday in Milford, continuing its ongoing push into southern Connecticut.

The opening of its latest GoHealth Urgent Care site brings its total number of centers in the state to 20.

Dr. Eric Walsh, medical director with GoHealth Urgent Care, said ensuring state residents have easy access to care when and where they need it is key.

“We look forward to caring for and partnering with our new community on the southern coastline,” Walsh said, in an announcement.

The new center is inside Milford Marketplace, at 1646 Boston Post Rd.

Patients seeking treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries will be treated there. Workers at the Milford location will also provide on-site X-rays and COVID-19 evaluation and testing. 

The center accepts both walk-in patients and those who have booked appointments. Virtual visits are available statewide.
