Home improvement company leases Branford space

Affordable Cabinets, Granite & Tile LLC has leased 3,560 square feet at 2 Liesl Lane, Branford.

This will be the Wallingford-based business’ third location. The new space is on the corner of Route 1, in the same building as a Sherman Williams Paints store. It formerly was home to a consignment store.

Stephen Press, SIOR, of Press/Cuozzo Realtors in Hamden, was the sole broker in the long- term lease. Terms were not disclosed.

Vacancies filled with retail, office uses in Milford

Research Drive, Milford

Two spaces on Research Drive in Milford have been leased, one for retail and one for office and storage use.

One lease is for 800 square feet at 233 Research Dr. The new tenant is B. OK Limitless LLC, owned by Adam Cudakiewiz. The business is expanding and already occupies two units next to this one. The owner operates Aim Controllers, a custom PlayStation and Xbox controller shop. 

The second lease is for 1,600 square feet of office and warehouse space at 158 Research Dr. CLS Utility Construction LLC, owned by David Murray, is leasing this space. He plans to use it for general office use and for storage of equipment and supplies for his telecommunications business.

D’Amato Investments LLC is the landlord for both locations. Bill Clark, senior vice president at the Geenty Group, Realtors, was the sole broker in both leases.

Insurance company leases Stamford space

Berkley Insurance Co., a subsidiary of W. R. Berkley Corp., a Fortune 500 company, has signed a new lease through 2033 for 63,173 square feet at Metro Center in Stamford.   

The company will occupy 1.5 floors in Empire State Realty Trust Inc.’s suburban 285,258-square-foot property, located at the Stamford Transportation Center at exit 7 on Interstate 95.

Belinda W. Scanlon, managing director of Bernard Realty, represented the tenant.

Jeffrey H. Newman, senior vice president for Empire State, represented the landlord, along with  Empire State’s Metro Center leasing agency team of Newmark Knight Frank, led by Managing Director James Ritman.
