Allison Green, chief diversity officer at insurer Lincoln Financial Group, has been named to The Network Journal's 2013 list of the 25 Most Influential Black Women in Business.

The business magazine has an audience of predominantly African-American professionals, corporate executives and business owners.

"We're fortunate to have a dynamic leader like Allison Green taking our diversity and inclusion efforts to new levels," said Lisa Buckingham, executive vice president and chief human resources officer, brand and enterprise communications for Lincoln Financial Group, also known as Lincoln National Corp.

Since joining Lincoln, of Radnor, Pa., in 2009, Green, who also is a senior vice president, has been responsible for the diversity and inclusion strategy, and the oversight of the company's practices in that area.

She has nearly 20 years of corporate and management consulting experience, and previously served as corporate director of diversity for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and The Vanguard Group.

Green earned a B.A. in psychology at Spelman College and an M.A. in counseling psychology at Howard University.
