New England Medical Specialties Inc. has leased a 5,500-square-foot building at 21 Commerce Dr., North Branford for five years.
The company, founded in 1985 and based in Guilford, is a sales, marketing and distribution company for multiple medical product lines, such as intravenous therapy, oncology, wound care, infection control and fall prevention. Its products range from syringes to feeding tubes to shower shields.
The property includes 1,000 square feet of renovated office space, plus 4,500 square feet of high-ceiling warehouse, which will be used for distributing medical supplies.
Kristin Geenty and Kevin Geenty of The Geenty Group, Realtors, represented landlord W. E. Hitchcock LLC in the deal. Cheryl Morris, also of The Geenty Group, was the agent for the tenant.
Financial terms of the lease were not disclosed.

New Haven mixed-use building sells for $5.1M
A mixed-use building on Chapel Street in downtown New Haven sold in mid-December for $5.1 million, city records show.
WTE 1171 CHAPEL LLC sold the property to 1171 CHAPEL LLC. City records describe the property as 1171, 1173, 1175 and 1177 Chapel St.
The new owner’s principal is listed as Menachem Gurevitch of Mandy Management, a New Haven-based rental management company, according to the Secretary of the State’s office.
The six-story building was constructed circa 1900, and includes 18,810 square feet, including a mix of residential apartments on the upper floors and commercial space at ground level.
