Midstate Radiology buys Vein Centers of CT

A Meriden-based radiology group says it has acquired a provider of vein therapy with locations in New Britain, Wallingford and Madison.

Meriden’s Midstate Radiology Associates LLC announced Thursday its takeover of Vein Centers of Connecticut, which specializes in non-invasive, pain free vein therapy. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Midstate, affiliated with The Hospital of Central Connecticut, Midstate Medical Center, Backus Hospital and the Hospital for Special Care, among others, has more than 15 locations in the state.

Vein Centers of Connecticut has been treating patients with varicose veins and venous reflux disease since 2004, officials said.

Founded in 1955, Midstate provides ultrasounds, CT scans, mammograms, MRIs, and other imaging services.
