Movers & Shakers: Dunnington joins The Hartford as head of absence management

Katie Dunnington has joined Hartford-based insurer The Hartford as head of absence management. She will be responsible for the financial performance and strategic direction of the company's group benefits absence management product suite across all market segments. 

Dunnington previously served as vice president of group product solutions at Lincoln Financial Group.

Armando Jimenez was hired as principle of Covenant Preparatory School in Hartford, where he will begin his tenure June 1.

Jimenez currently serves as director of business partnerships and development with Hartford Public Schools.

Jim Swanski was promoted to director of the Wallingford office of 1898 & Co. — a business, technology and security solutions consultancy that is a subsidiary of construction services firm Burns & McDonnell. He is now responsible for leading a team of professionals delivering technology consulting projects.

Swanski has more than 20 years of technology consulting and project management experience.

Bloomfield aerospace manufacturer Kaman Corp. promoted Rebecca Stath to vice president of accounting and principal accounting officer, and Lisa Barry to vice president of financial planning and analysis.

Stath began her career at KPMG before joining Kaman Corp. in 2011 as internal audit manager. Barry worked at Hamilton Sundstrand and United Technologies Corp. before joining Kaman in 2015.
