New Haven’s restaurants will debut new menus and specials on March 27 for the 14th iteration of the city’s Restaurant Week.
Set to run from March 27 to April 9, this spring’s event will highlight cafés, bakeries and fast-casual eateries in addition to fine-dining and casual restaurants. More than 50 businesses are set to take part.
Diners can choose from a range of fixed-price menus starting at $20, in addition to 20% discounts and free add-ons. Restaurant Week specials for the first time this year extend to breakfast and brunch in addition to lunch and dinner.
One of the new deals offered this year is a free mocktail with any purchase of $25 or more at Bloom, a combination shop and cafe that opened last year at 794 Edgewood Ave. in Westville. You can also get 15% of your entire lunch or dinner bill at Bulldog Hotdogs, a recently opened takeout spot at 56 Broadway.
Newer restaurants offering RW specials this spring include Jazzy’s Cabaret at 4 Orange St., with a $55 fixed-price dinner, and Villa Lulu at 230 College St., with a $21 fixed-price lunch and $42 dinner.
Market New Haven Director Bruno Baggetta said, “We’re thrilled to welcome back diners to New Haven for Restaurant Week. On the heels of mask mandates lifting, we look forward to patrons experiencing the city’s refueled energy this spring.”
Market New Haven launched Restaurant Week in 2008, and the promotion has grown to a twice-yearly event involving many of the city’s major eateries.
Mayor Justin Elicker said, “New Haven is open for business. We encourage all to come out, enjoy and support our local businesses and restaurants during Restaurant Week and beyond.”
