An expanded New Haven Night Market will feature food, live entertainment, shopping and fun when it returns this month.
The free event will be in downtown’s Ninth Square Neighborhood on Friday, May 12, from 5 to 10 p.m. It will feature more than 90 vendors, including artists, entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations.
Visitors can enjoy products for sale, food, drink, art, music and information.
Businesses in the neighborhood will be open, with many offering special promotions that night. Menya-Gumi and Tacos Los Gordos will be among several eateries open and serving food.
This year, the New Haven Night Market is growing beyond its past footprint on Orange Street. In addition to Orange from Center to George, there will be vendors along Orange from Court to Chapel. This larger footprint allows for additional vendor space and the participation of approximately a dozen additional brick-and-mortar businesses, according to event organizers.
