A three-building medical office complex in Newington anchored by the Hartford Hospital Eye Surgery Center has been acquired by a Florida-based national healthcare real estate investor for $8.8 million.
Land records show Constitution Surgery Alliance, a major regional player in outpatient, ambulatory care, sold the 31,198-square-foot complex Dec. 19, to Catalyst Healthcare Real Estate.
Catalyst’s realty holdings include properties in Florida, Maryland, Texas and Alabama, among other states, according to its website.
The so-called Constitution Professional Park, at 505 Willard Ave., is 95 percent leased, according to broker Jacobson Properties, which arranged the sale.
Founded in 1998, the Hartford Hospital Eye Surgery Center leases just over half of the medical-office park. Other tenants includes Starling Physicians and Select Physical Therapy.
The Hartford Hospital Eye Surgery Center sees about 10,000 patients and handles another 10,000-plus procedures a year.
In fiscal 2018, the center handled 8,600 cataract extractions with lens implants; 430 combined cataract; glaucoma procedures, 380 traditional glaucoma surgical procedures; and 200 microinvasive glaucoma surgeries, according to Hartford HealthCare.
