NH Biz, HBJ to host free webinar on $2T stimulus package

The Hartford Business Journal and New Haven Biz on Friday will hold a free webinar series to help Connecticut businesses better understand how they can benefit from the $2-trillion federal economic stimulus package.

Although the webinar on teleconferencing app Zoom is free, pre-registration is required here.

The first session will take place this Friday (April 10) from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and will focus on the federal government’s stimulus program known as the CARES Act and more specifically the Paycheck Protection Program, or PPP, which provides low-interest and potentially forgivable loans to small businesses with fewer than 500 employees to keep workers on their payrolls.

The program kicked off last Friday, but plenty of questions remain for companies that have or not yet applied for the program, especially with the U.S. Treasury issuing new guidance daily.

Our panelists will help you navigate the uncertainty ahead. They include:
