Following a nationwide search, Paier College has named James Page as its new provost.

Page joins Paier from the University of Bridgeport, where he served as the undergraduate program director in the School of Business.

In his new role at Paier, Page will be responsible for overseeing daily academic operations and helping to define the college’s strategic academic vision. He will report directly to college President Joseph M. Bierbaum.

Bierbaum said in an announcement that Page’s background in higher education administration will make him a “pivotal” member of the team as Paier continues to grow.

“He is a natural leader committed to high academic standards with a passion for creating learning environments that serve students and help them to achieve success academically and professionally,” Bierbaum said.

While at the University of Bridgeport, Page co-managed all faculty and student workers in the School of Business and served as the chair for undergraduate curriculum. He also managed the Business Student Success Center.
