Pegasus' DiPentima elected CBIA board chair

Chris DiPentima, president of Pegasus Manufacturing in MIddletown, has been elected chairman of the Connecticut Business & Industry Association’s board of directors.

He succeeds Mary Kay Fenton, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Achillion Pharmaceuticals in New Haven, who becomes immediate past chair.

The board also elected two vice chairs: Jennifer DelMonico, managing partner of Murtha Cullina LLP in New Haven, and Jeff Hubbard, market president of KeyBank.

DiPentima joined Pegasus Manufacturing, a division of Leggett & Platt, in 2002 when it was family-owned. He is credited with introducing the company's current foundation of disciplined change management, continuous improvement/lean and strategic policy deployment.

Before joining Pegasus, DiPentima spent eight years as a trial attorney representing corporations and individuals in litigation involving a broad range of areas, including labor and employment, contracts, workers compensation and personal injury as well as mergers and acquisitions transactions.

Lynn Hendricks of Hamden has been appointed associate dean of student affairs at Quinnipiac University.

Hendricks will be responsible for initiatives to enhance opportunities for student engagement, satisfaction and retention. She also supervises the directors of the offices of residential life, religious life and student conduct.

Hendricks comes to Quinnipiac from Florida International University, where she was director of residential life.

She holds an Ed.D degree in adult education and human resource development from Florida International University. She earned a master’s degree in college and university administration from Michigan State University and a second master’s in business from Chapman University.
