Hyperfine selects new president and CEO

Hyperfine Inc., a Guilford-based medical device company, has named Maria Sainz as its new president and chief executive officer.

The appointment is effective on Oct. 24.

Hyperfine is the company behind the Swoop portable MRI system, which can be wheeled to a patient’s bedside.

Scott Huennekens, who currently serves as interim President and CEO, will stay on as executive chairperson of the company’s board of directors. Huennekens has been serving on an interim basis since the departure of Dave Scott.
