A group of the region’s most creative and game-changing entrepreneurs and innovators will reveal the secrets of their success when New Haven BIZ hosts a pathbreaking new event, “60 Ideas in 60 Minutes.”
The new event takes place in conjunction with the publication in September of 2019 INNOVATORS & ENTREPRENEURS — a special NHB publication featuring in-depth profiles of six of the region’s most successful entrepreneurs talking about the ideas and principles that have helped them achieve singular success in their businesses and in life.
Those leaders include:
• Jonathan Rothberg, whose Butterfly Networks has pioneered a revolutionary handheld ultrasound device. Previously Rothberg founded CuraGen Corp. and 454 Life Sciences.
• Jennifer Good, whose Trevi Therapeutics is developing an innovative alternative to addictive opioids.
• Serial entrepreneur Al Subbloie (formerly of Tangoe), whose new Shelton company is changing the way the world buys, and uses, energy.
• Craig Crews, founder of Arvinas Inc., which is developing novel therapies for prostate and breast cancers.
• ReNetX CEO Erika R. Smith, whose company is developing a drug to reverse spinal-cord injury damage.
• Founder Robert Schoelkopf of New Haven’s Quantum Circuits, which is developing new technology for the next generation of computers.
“‘60 Ideas in 60 Minutes’ is a celebration of some of our region’s most dynamic and innovative thinkers and business leaders,” said New Haven BIZ Editor Michael C. Bingham. “Beyond the celebration, it’s also a kind of master class during which these innovators will share the top ten insights they have learned throughout their careers.”
The featured innovators will introduce and explain ten ideas that have opened intellectual and commercial doors to innovation and ultimate success. “And not just the ideas themselves,” said Bingham, “but also the ways of thinking that inform how they see the world and approach their missions to change the world.”
“60 Ideas in 60 Minutes” will take place from 4-7 p.m. October 30 at the Canal Dock Boathouse, 475 Long Wharf Drive, New Haven.
Tickets for the event are $75. Click HERE to purchase tickets. Sponsors include the City of New Haven Economic Development and Regional Water Authority. Event Partners include J. Fiereck Photography, David Alan Hospitality Group and Rider Productions.
