Locals 8 Hospitality Group, the parent company of several Connecticut restaurants, including the Plan b Restaurants Group, has added Glastonbury’s Diamond Pub & Grill to its portfolio.
Locals 8 announced the purchase last week and said the popular eatery, located at 195 Hebron Ave., will remain operating essentially as it is.
“This is an iconic pub in an extremely desirable location with amazing staff and very loyal patrons,” said Locals 8 founder and CEO Allie J. Gamble. “We plan to keep it this way. Our goal is not to change The Diamond but rather to build on the staff’s creativity and reinforce the community connections they have made.”
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
All gift cards sold prior to the buyout will still be honored at the Diamond Pub & Grill, Locals 8 officials said.
According to its website, Locals 8 Hospitality Group owns Tisane Euro-Asian Cafe and The Half Door, both in Hartford, Butchers & Bakers in Farmington and the Plan b Restaurant Group, which has locations in Fairfield, Glastonbury, Milford, Simsbury, Southington, Stamford and West Hartford, as well as in Springfield, Massachusetts.
