Rockville Gen. Hospital to close rehab facility

Rockville General Hospital plans to shutter one of its offsite rehabilitation facilities when its lease expires at year’s end, it informed regulators recently.

The hospital, part of Prospect-owned Eastern Connecticut Health Network, said the Rehabilitation Services unit at 47 Hartford Turnpike in Vernon, offers physical, occupational and aquatic therapy services.

Those services will continue to be offered at Rockville General Hospital's main campus, which is about five miles away, and various other locations.

ECHN said all staff would be reassigned to other locations, with no reduction in pay.
