Shelton realty firm promotes new VP

Northeast Private Client Group in Shelton recently promoted Taylor Perun to the position of vice president, investments.

Perun joined the real estate firm’s Connecticut office in 2013. His territory includes central and eastern Connecticut and western and central Massachusetts. 

“We look to continue expanding our presence to serve our market better,” Perun said in an announcement. “I look forward to continuing to assist our clients with the advisory and sales process of their real estate holdings.” 

Northeast Private Client Group specializes in mixed-use retail and multifamily real estate. The firm represents investors, property owners and professional real estate investors.

Sacred Heart U. promotes new program director

Sacred Heart University’s Charles A. Gillespie, assistant professor in the department of Catholic studies, is taking on a new role as Pioneer Journey director.

Sacred Heart University’s Charles A. Gillespie, an assistant professor in the Fairfield-based university’s department of Catholic studies, is taking on a new role as director of the Pioneer Journey program. 

Provost Robin Cautin said Gillespie will help the university articulate what makes the student experience at Sacred Heart distinctive.

“We all feel it, but now we will crystallize that experience in a more formalized way,” Cautin said.

A new Pioneer Journey committee will work with faculty and staff to create resources about the distinct characteristics and experiences involved in a Sacred Heart education. 

“There are some really special things taking place at our university, but we don’t celebrate them enough,” Gillespie said. “We’re not loud and shouting from the rooftops about the incredible happenings at Sacred Heart.”
