Bradley International Airport has launched its new nonstop service to Nashville, Tennessee, via Southwest Airlines.

In a statement, officials with the Connecticut Airport Authority, which oversees Bradley, said the daily flight now departs the airport at 6:10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and arrives at Nashville International Airport around 7:50 p.m. Central Standard Time.

The inbound flight leaves Nashville at 7:30 p.m. CST and arrives at Bradley at 10:40 p.m. EST.

Southwest has assigned a Boeing 737 to the route.

“Nashville is a popular destination that also offers key connectivity to major destinations across Southwest’s West Coast network,” said CAA Executive Director Kevin A. Dillon. “The launch of this service significantly enhances our nonstop offerings for our travelers and with its introduction we are pleased to strengthen our long-standing partnership with Southwest Airlines.”

The CAA and Southwest first announced plans to expand service to Nashville back in October.

The new flight will give Connecticut-based travelers one-stop connections to over 40 cities served by Southwest Airlines through Nashville International.

Like all airports, Bradley experienced a dramatic drop in air traffic volume in the early months of 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. In response, the CAA instituting spending freezes and deferred some capital projects.
