Splash Car Wash is continuing its expansion with the recent acquisition of 17 Classy Chassy car washes in the greater Buffalo and Rochester areas of New York.
Just last week, the Milford-based company purchased four Buckmans Car Wash locations in the Rochester region.
Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
According to Splash, it now operates 44 washes across Connecticut, New York and Vermont, with more than 10 new express sites under development.
Mark Curtis, CEO of Splash Car Wash, said in the latest announcement, “We couldn’t be happier to have Classy Chassy join the Splash family.”
Splash is continuing its expansion throughout the Northeast, and the latest additions reflect its interest in the upstate New York market, he noted.
Jeff Arnold and Dave Clements, founders of Classy Chassy, and their associates will become part of the Splash team.
“Jeff and Dave are experienced developers who know the region well and will assist Splash in dramatically expanding our footprint in the (upstate New York) region,” Curtis said.
With the Classy Chassy acquisition, Splash is adding 10 express tunnels and 7 in-bay sites in its existing Rochester market, as well as Buffalo, a new region for Splash.
Buckmans Car Wash includes four express car-wash sites in the Rochester area.
Jeff Gold, owner of Buckmans for 19 years, said he is confident Splash will assimilate his car washes and employees smoothly.
"They have a strong commitment to our team, the community, and certainly to providing the best car-wash experience possible,” Gold said. “I look forward to working with them."
Splash indicated it plans to invest in its new sites, including through remodelling and equipment upgrades.
