As the temperatures dip, the Subway restaurant chain has announced a new and revamped lineup of soups to welcome the fall season.
The soups, which Subway officials say are a "fan-favorite side," have been refreshed, with enhanced recipes.
The refreshed soups include Broccoli Cheddar Soup, Loaded Baked Potato Soup and Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup.
In addition to helping customers get their soup fix, the Milford-headquartered chain has also announced a campaign called “Souped Up,” where on weekends through October, customers can get $1 off the refreshed lineup of soups. The discount offer will be available starting Oct. 7 and is available to customers with a Subway account who have opted into email. New accounts must opt into email 72 hours in advance to receive the offer.
Subway's revamped soups are creamier, richer and heartier, with more chicken, richer broths and more bacon, cheese and potatoes, according to the company.
“We've stepped up our soup at Subway, with three refreshed recipes that will have our guests dreaming of sweater weather after their first sip,” said Paul Fabre, senior vice president of culinary and innovation at Subway.
Fabre said the chain’s culinary team spent more than a year tweaking its recipes.
“We can't wait for America to taste the difference,” he said.
Subway's refreshed lineup of soups are the latest update in the brand's “Eat Fresh Refresh” campaign that kicked off last summer with more than 20 new and refreshed ingredients added to its menu. The journey continued with the launch of the new Subway Series earlier this summer, a lineup of 12 all new signature sandwiches, which marked the most significant menu update in Subway's nearly 60-year history.
