Union Savings Bank, which is headquartered in Danbury, recently promoted Jeff McDonough to executive vice president, human resources and community relations.
McDonough will join the bank’s executive management committee and continue to serve on its management council.
McDonough has 37 years of experience in human resources in both the healthcare and banking industries. He joined Union Savings in 2015 as senior vice president, director of human resources.
Cynthia C. Merkle, bank president and CEO, said McDonough has made significant contributions to the bank during his tenure.
“He has led numerous initiatives, including our efforts on creating a more diverse and inclusive environment for our employees and customers,” she said. “Over the past two years he and his team have been instrumental in our navigation through the pandemic.”

Butterfly Network Inc., a Guilford-based manufacturer of a handheld ultrasound device, announced that Heather Getz will take over as executive vice president and chief financial officer as of May 2.
Getz, a certified public accountant, spent 12 years at BioTelemetry, Inc., a publicly-traded remote medical technology company, where, among other roles, she served as executive vice president and chief financial and administrative officer.
According to an announcement, during her tenure, BioTelemetry saw an increase in market capitalization of over $2.5 billion, culminating with a sale to Royal Philips in 2021.
Getz has also had financial leadership positions at companies such as Alita Pharmaceuticals, VIASYS Healthcare and Sunoco.
Getz said she is “thrilled” to join the Butterfly team.
“Having played a leadership role in similar business situations and industries, I look forward to supporting Butterfly’s strategic plan to utilize its differentiated technology to fundamentally improve access to ultrasound acquired insights at the point-of-care, benefiting patients around the world,” she said.
