Utility executive joins FuelCell Energy

Mark Feasel has joined FuelCell Energy Inc. in Danbury as executive vice president and chief commercial officer.

Feasel started in the role in mid-April, and he reports to President and CEO Jason Few.

The company manufactures fuel-cell energy platforms.

Feasel previously worked for Schneider Electric USA for 15 years. He began his career in the U.S. Navy.

In his new role, Feasel will focus on increasing market share and revenue, and growing the sales of FuelCell Energy’s platforms for hydrogen production and lower-carbon power. 

“When I met with Jason and the team and talked to them about their overarching goals, the markets they are serving, and the opportunities they are creating, I knew it was a company I wanted to join and help grow,” Feasel said.

Maritime Aquarium picks Crosby to lead conservation programs

Sarah Crosby, a marine ecologist, has joined the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk as director of conservation and policy, a new position aimed at expanding the aquarium’s leadership role in local and national conservation issues.

Crosby is responsible for leading the aquarium’s conservation initiatives and overall strategy, with a focus on the ecosystem of Long Island Sound. She will also focus on climate change, species management, marine pollution and other issues impacting the global environment.

For the past seven years, Crosby has served as director of Harbor Watch, a research program based at Earthplace in Westport. She also serves on multiple local watershed committees, the Citizens Advisory Committee of the Long Island Sound Study and U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy’s Long Island Sound Council.

With the aquarium, Crosby will manage conservation projects to protect key Sound species, such as horseshoe crabs and sand tiger sharks, and salt marsh habitats. She also will lead an effort to remove thousands of lobster pots abandoned in the Sound.

New Greenskies executives to accelerate growth in new markets

Greenskies Clean Focus, a renewable energy company in North Haven, has added two to its executive leadership team.

Randall Prescott is now vice president, power marketing and facilitates offsite solar, for corporate and real estate clients.

Prescott has more than three decades of experience in the wholesale energy industry, most recently at PSEG Energy Resources & Trade, where he led the power marketing and origination team.

Karen Keane is the company’s new vice president of project finance. She leads project financing from deal origination to closing. 

Keane previously was a director at Deutsche Bank Securities, focusing on structuring domestic and international financings. She brings over 15 years of experience in project finance, accounting and investment banking.
