A company that employs aircraft mechanics and provides maintenance services to airline operators at Bradley International Airport has been sold to an Illinois company.
Keenan Technical Industries was recently acquired by Flightcheck Commercial Aviation Services, which is headquartered in Bensenville, Illinois.
KTI, founded in 1990, was owned by Lineage Capital, a Boston-based private equity firm. The sale closed on Dec. 15, 2023.
KTI has a maintenance office at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, and its corporate headquarters is in Southwick, Massachusetts. The business expanded its services to Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in 2022.
The new owner, Flightcheck, was founded in 2004 and provides line maintenance, de-icing and ground-handling services for domestic and international cargo and commercial airlines. It has 10 locations in the United States.
Dallas-based Generational Equity, a merger and acquisitions firm, provided advisory services for the transaction.
