Amazon to hire 3,100 employees in Connecticut

Amazon announced Friday that it is hiring more than 3,100 employees in Connecticut, among 150,000 full-time, seasonal and part-time roles it plans to fill companywide.

The jobs include stowing, picking, packing, sorting and shipping customer orders, with flexible hours available. Employees can earn, on average, more than $19 per hour. Sign-on bonuses range from $1,000 to $3,000 in some areas.

“Whether someone is looking for some extra money for a few months or a long-term career, the holidays are a great time for people to join Amazon, and many of our seasonal employees return year-after-year or transition into full-time roles,” said John Felton, Amazon’s senior vice president of worldwide operations. 

In Connecticut, jobs are available at Amazon's locations in Windsor, North Haven, Bristol, Orange, Stratford, Trumbull, Wallingford and Danbury.
