BIC enlists runway model to promote NFL body marker line

An NFL stadium on game day is a far cry from the fashion runway. But those two worlds are colliding in a new BIC marketing campaign that enlists a former Victoria’s Secret model to pitch a new line of NFL-themed body markers.

The Shelton-based company said this week it has teamed with supermodel Chanel Iman, best known for her work as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, to introduce the BodyMark by BIC NFL series.

The temporary tattoo markers, sold in packs of three, are available in color combinations representing all 32 NFL teams, and also include team logo stencils for body art, the company said in a news release.

BIC, which makes lighters, razors, pens and other stationery items, timed its announcement to coincide with the 2021 NFL season kickoff.

Iman, a social media influencer who is married to NFL star Sterling Shepherd of the New York Giants, said in a statement that the markers are “an essential part of my routine when prepping for the big game each week.”

“Whichever team you’re rooting for, fans can now incorporate their own fun, customized body art designs into their football fashion,” said Iman, who BIC described as a “major NFL fan.”

BIC said the body markers are made with cosmetic-quality, skin-safe ink. The NFL packs sell for $14.99 on Amazon, the BIC website, and at select drug stores and other national retailers.

The NFL series is the latest addition to BIC’s body paint lineup, which it launched in 2019. Last spring, it rolled out a line of rainbow temporary tattoo markers for Pride month.
