ConnectiCare, a Farmington-based health-plan provider, has opened a new center at 64 North Main St. in Norwalk.
The company’s centers provide ConnectiCare members and the general public with in-person help selecting, understanding and using health-insurance plans.
ConnectiCare opened its first retail service center in 2016 in Manchester.
Laurie Blier, director of retail operations for ConnectiCare, said it is important for customers to understand health plans so they make the right choices for themselves and their families, and get the most out of the plan they choose.
“Our centers are especially helpful during open enrollment when people are choosing new health plans for the coming year,” Blier said, “Visitors receive in-person service and personalized plan recommendations to accommodate their specific health needs.”

In addition to Norwalk, ConnectiCare has centers in Manchester, Waterbury, Bridgeport, Farmington and Newington.
Representatives can help customers with choosing an appropriate plan, Medicare enrollment, plan enrollment and eligibility for financial help.
The new Norwalk center is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Sunday.
