Neil Mitchill, former chief financial officer at East Hartford-based Pratt & Whitney, has been appointed CFO of Pratt’s parent company, Raytheon Technologies Corp.

In a statement, company officials said Mitchill, who most recently served as corporate vice president of financial planning and analysis at Raytheon Technologies, will replace Anthony “Toby” O’Brien, who stepped down last week.

“Neil is a proven leader who successfully guided our financial strategy through the merger,” CEO Gregory Hayes said. “I know he will continue to deliver significant value to the organization given his experience across our global businesses.”

Mitchill joined United Technologies Corp. in 2014 as vice president of global financial services. One year later he was made a corporate vice president and in 2016 he was named vice president and CFO of Pratt & Whitney.

In 2019, Mitchill became acting senior vice president and CFO of UTC, a title he held until the conglomerate’s 2020 linkup with the Waltham, Massachusetts-based Raytheon Co. When the two businesses combined as Raytheon Technologies Corp., he moved into the role of corporate vice president of financial planning and analysis.

Prior to joining UTC, Mitchill was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
