McCarthy to head new QU research center

Maureen Terese McCarthy of Wallingford has been named director of the new Center for Research and Scholarship at Quinnipiac University. She will be responsible for leading the center and developing integrated support services for faculty research, faculty and student research and scholarship activity across the university.

McCarthy comes to QU from the Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) in Washington, D.C., where she served on the senior leadership team as the director of best practices and advancement.

McCarthy holds a Ph.D. and an MA in English from Emory University and a BA in English from Ursinus College.
