New Haven’s Restaurant Week, planned this year for Oct. 16-29, announced its lineup for 2022 this week, spotlighting some relative newcomers as well as Elm City mainstays.

Villa Lulu, which opened last fall on College Street, and Pistachio Café, which plans a new location at Chapel and Howe, are among the newer restaurants on the list for the event, which offers diners a discounted fixed-price menu at 23 eateries in the city.

Other restaurants taking part: Atelier Florian, Barcelona Wine Bar, Caffe Bravo, Camacho Garage, Christopher Martins, Claire’s Corner Copia, Elm City Social, Geronimo Tequila Bar and Southwest Grill, Goodfellas Restaurant, Harvest Wine Bar & Restaurant, Heirloom, L’Orcio, Olea, Olives and Oil, Pacifico, Prime16, Shell & Bones Oyster Bar and Grill, Soul de Cuba Café, South Bay, Tre Scalini and ZINC.

This year's offerings include two-course lunch options for $25 and three-course dinner options starting at $35 per person.

Citizens is the presenting sponsor, and Connecticut Foodshare is the official charity of this fall's Restaurant Week.

This year is the 14th anniversary of the Restaurant Week event, which has grown to two iterations a year. New Haven was the first city in the state to organize the promotion, designed to draw diners to downtown eateries as the seasons change.

Bruno Baggetta, director for Market New Haven, said, “The event is truly a testament to the commitment of the restaurant community in our city. We also want to express our appreciation to citizens for their unwavering support that has continued to lift our independently owned participating restaurants for 14 years and counting.”

Hamden’s Restaurant Week is scheduled for Oct. 17-22, with fixed-price menus starting at $9 for lunch and $20 for dinner at 13 eateries including Eli’s Brick Oven, Ibiza Tapas and Wine Bar, La Isla Spanish Restaurant, Roishi Ramen and Ristorante Luce.

Ongoing and upcoming restaurant week promotions in the area include Milford Restaurant Week, through Oct. 9; Trumbull Restaurant Week, Oct. 7-14, and Greater Guilford Restaurant Week, Oct. 10-16.
