Waterbury-based Post University has named Kimber Summers as its new chief regulatory officer and general counsel.
Summers will provide legal advice to the university’s leaders on contractual matters, regulatory compliance, accreditation and risk management.
Post University CEO & President John L. Hopkins said higher education faces legal issues and challenges such as Title IX changes, accreditation requirements and changes in regulatory policies.
“Kimber brings not only two decades of higher education experience to her role at Post, but also the depth of regulatory knowledge that will help our university become the gold standard in compliance,” Hopkins said, in an announcement.
Summers previously served as the assistant general counsel at Texas Woman’s University, a public co-educational university system in Denton, Texas. She also served as vice president, legal and general counsel for a national network of vocational schools.

Miller will work to help the organization expand its role in developing a talented and diverse workforce pipeline.

Miller spent 15 years coaching Division I women's basketball. He has worked as a coach at Yale University, the University of Richmond and Rider University.
